  • cement screeds

  • plasters of the mortar categories CS II, CS III and CS IV in accordance with EN 998 (compressive strength ≥ 2.5 N/mm²)

  • BOTAMENT® BP building boards

  • fibre cement boards

Substrate preparation

The substrate must be in the following condition:

  • dry, clean and frost-free

  • stable

  • free from grease, paint, cement laitance, separating agents, rust and loose particles

Mineral substrates must be primed with BOTAMENT® E 120.

Sealings made of BOTAMENT® RA 170 should be done applying at least two layers.

The total dry layer thickness of the sealing must reach at least 1.0 mm (correlating with a wet layer thickness of 1.1 mm).

Prior to fitting of tiles the fresh top layer of BOTAMENT® RA 170 has to be scattered with dried quartz sand of grain size 0.5 - 1.2 mm all over.
